[vc_row full_width=”” parallax=”” parallax_image=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Once or twice, we know you might’ve considered reaching for those odds and ends in your fridge or cabinet when you’ve suddenly run out of shampoo or conditioner. Wait, that wasn’t you? Well here’s the deal, sometimes simplest is best and can even save you some dough. Often it’s a ton easier to look for what’s literally within reach, rather than heading to the store when you’re all out of your tried and true products. Alright, we figured this one may take a bit of convincing, but consider this – most products on the market today often contain at least one (or maybe three) of our hacks below.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”grey” align=”align_center” style=”” border_width=”” el_width=””][vc_column_text css_animation=””]
1. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=””]We guarantee that if you can overcome the smell of vinegar and instead revel in the benefits, your hair will seriously thank you. Let’s break it down – ACV (as it’s often referred to) improves hair’s overall shine, improves the hair tangle woes, combats pretty darn effectively any scalp issues that might appear burdensome, balances hair’s PH while conditioning, and has an amazing ability to rid hair of any buildup from overuse of products. To use, mix with equal parts water (or if you’re brave, you can use alone) and pour over hair. And no worries here, the smell doesn’t linger![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”3515″ alignment=”” style=”” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” css_animation=”appear” img_size=”full”][vc_separator color=”grey” align=”align_center” style=”” border_width=”” el_width=””][vc_column_text css_animation=””]
2. HONEY
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=””]For hair that’s on the damaged side, or just needs a quick boost of moisture honey is really your new bae. A natural humectant (which just means it easily attracts moisture to your hair), this stuff works in combo (as a conditioner) with most natural oils like coconut, olive or you can add a few tablespoons of ACV to a quarter cup of honey, apply to hair and stand aside and watch hair look it’s utmost best.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”3519″ alignment=”” style=”” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” css_animation=”appear” img_size=”full”][vc_separator color=”grey” align=”align_center” style=”” border_width=”” el_width=””][vc_column_text css_animation=””]
3. YOGURT
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=””]If you’re feeling experimental, or see that your might’ve odeed at the supermarket and things are literally looking sour, think about putting that extra yogurt stash to good use. This stuff helps to fight annoying itchiness and moisturizes the worst unruly dry scalp. Used in place of your conditioner, lactic acid softens strands and improves hair’s elasticity. Make sure to use either Greek or plain yogurt to get it’s full benefits. Mix with a quarter cup of honey or on it’s own, add to damp hair and be certain to rinse clean![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”3517″ alignment=”” style=”” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” css_animation=”appear” img_size=”full”][vc_separator color=”grey” align=”align_center” style=”” border_width=”” el_width=””][vc_column_text css_animation=””]
4. BEER
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=””]Women have had a leg up on using beer to add shine to hair for ions, and even a few hair care brands have finally tapped into the old trend. But the truth is, the two main components in beer (malt & hops) are loaded with protein that helps to strengthen hair’s cuticles. To use effectively, mix equal parts beer with water and apply to hair. Careful not to over do it, moderation (even in this case) is best! Adding too much of this stuff can leave hair feeling and looking straw like.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”3518″ alignment=”” style=”” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” css_animation=”appear” img_size=”full”][vc_separator color=”grey” align=”align_center” style=”” border_width=”” el_width=””][vc_column_text css_animation=””]
5. EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=””]Rich in fatty acids that help keep dryness at bay, this super oil is also loaded with Vitamin E to help strengthen hair strands.
