In 2022, 66% of the race-based hate incidents occurring in U.S. schools targeted Black students.

The Black community needs to demand more attention, prevention, and funding focused specifically on acts of hate against Black children and youth, which can lead to psychological and emotional damage and affect their health and well-being.
