Since it’s inception in 1968, the track stadium at Arcadia High School has hosted a premier track and field event that has produced 180 Olympians and 32 national high school records over 56 years.

Among the latest outstanding prep performances are the Rancho Cucamonga High School’s Boys Relay teams who won both the 4×100 and 4×200 relays at Arcadia, posting some of the best times in the state this year.

In the 4×100, Rancho Cucamonga finished with an outstanding time of 41.32 over Parkland and El Cerritos. The winning baton was carried by Jonah Dawson, Rodney Sermon, Trey Wilson and anchored by Cameron Sermon.

“Our goal is to prepare for the state meet in Sacramento so we are competing with ourselves,” said Rancho Cucamonga High School’s Cameron Sermons.

In the 4×200, Rancho Cucamonga posted a first-place time of 1:27.48 over Parkland, Notre Dame and De La Salle high schools respectively. The Cougar team was anchored again by Cameron Sermon, brother Rodney Sermon, Jonah Dawson and Jeremiah Brown running the remaining legs.
